The Services Sector Report provides a comprehensive analysis of the services sector's growing role in global, African, South African and Western Cape economies, tracing how services have become the dominant driver of output, employment and trade. 

The report examines key trends in digitally delivered services, ICT, finance and business services, highlights Africa's largely untapped intra-continental trade potential and the transformative role of the AfCFTA, and positions the Western Cape as a deeply services-driven economy where the sector contributes over 76% of GVA and is anchored by business services, wholesale and retail trade, and transport – with exports targeted to triple in value by 2035 under the province's Growth for Jobs Strategy.
