On the foothills of the Kasteelberg Mountain in a Tuscany-style valley just 70km from Cape Town, Riebeek Valley is as renowned for its excellent wines, as it is for olive growing and its annual Olive Festival. Sun kissed days and fresh country air throughout the year entice you to spend as much time as possible outdoors.

Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West are closely bound by history and are just 4km apart, yet both offer a very different experience. Hermon is situated on a railway siding in the south-east corner of the Valley and offers its own attractions.

Majestic mountain backdrops, picture-perfect scenery, vineyards and olive groves languishing in year-round sunshine make Riebeek Valley one of nature’s finest experiences. Early morning walks through sprawling vineyards, canoeing on the Berg River, mountain biking and hiking along nature’s trails are both invigorating and rejuvenating.

Enjoy a 360º view of the surrounding countryside from Kasteelberg; Malmesbury and Cape Town in the south, over the wheat fields, vineyards and olive groves to Matroosberg in the east, Swartland Valley to the dunes of the Atlantic Coastline in the west and Piekenierskloof Pass, Olifants River and Cederberg in the north. Truly magnificent!

The country atmosphere makes the valley a prime destination for a wellness retreat, weddings, functions, conferences and team-building weekends.
