Day 1: Darling - Yzerfontein

Start in: Darling

Groote Post Vineyards

Groote Post is a historic farm offering award winning wines, and home to on-site restaurant Hilda’s Kitchen which serves modern country cooking. If you fancy taking your wine tasting outdoors, Groote Post offers farm drives around their 2000-hectare farm, which includes a Cheese & Wine stop in the vineyards, overlooking Table Mountain. You’ll also be able to spot game during the farm drive

Darling Olives

Darling Olives not only produces great-tasting olives, but also offers a great tasting experience so you can discover their range of delicious products right on the farm. The entire range of olive products is available for tasting during a 30-minute presentation. You can look forward to Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic Infused Olive Oil, Olive Chocolate, Jams, Pastes and Rubs, as well as Darling Olives’ delicious Black and Calamata Olives.

Kossie Sikelela Restaurant

A new addition to Evita se Perron, at Kossie Sikelela you can look forward to traditional South African cuisine interpreted in a modern fine dining restaurant

Sustainably-sourced food at !Khwa ttu

Wrights Gin Distillery & Tasting Room

Enjoy a gin in a beautiful garden with all the atmosphere and charm of the West Coast. The signature gin tasting board is definitely the way to go when visiting Wright’s Gin for the first time. You’re presented with four different gins, tonic & garnish as well as a little surprise. The tasting room also does a very tasty Cheese & Meat Charcuterie board, highly recommended to snack on and surprisingly filling too.

Day 2: Langebaan – Hopefield

La Petite Maison

Langebaan's first fine dining restaurant, La Petite Maison offers modern, local cuisine with a French touch. Experience a gastronomic delight, with exquisite taste and visual appeal, coupled with gracious French-style service.

Boesmanland Plaaskombuis

Boesmanland Farm Kitchen is an informal outdoor seafood, african food and boerekos eating experience on the beach of the world famous South African West Coast. All the dishes are prepared on open fires in big black pots every day and served on enamel plates. Their famous Soetsuurdeeg bread is prepared with a salt and potato ferment yeast and baked in a wood fired oven.

Wings Coffee Roasters

Founded in 2012 by Ex South African Air Force Pilot, Justus du Toit, Wings Coffee Roasters has expanded across the Western Cape of South Africa as well as into the middle east. WCR is working daily to find new and innovative ways to bring specialty grade, artisanal coffees to your cup

Day 3: Paternoster - St Helena Bay

Leeto Restaurant

A fusion of refined and contemporary cuisine in a prime location which boasts magnificent ocean and nature views. Leeto Restaurant will take you on an exceptional culinary journey showcasing the best the West Coast has to offer. The culinary offerings are authentic. There is a strong emphasis on local, homemade and seasonal ingredients using the treasures of the Ocean and the region.

Wolfgat Restaurant

Wolfgat offers a unique dining experience showcasing a selection of indigenous ingredients specific to their coastal location in Paternoster. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape and its dramatic seasonal transformation, chef Kobus van der Merwe’s signature Strandveld food menu comprises a series of tasting dishes presented in seven courses. Sustainable seafood, local lamb and venison, and seasonal veldkos is featured, enhanced by wild herbs, seaweeds from the local rock pools, and pickings from the garden.

Oppikaai Restaurant

Located in St Helena Bay Harbour at the edge of the water, appropriately named Oppikaai, meaning Quayside. Oppikaai is the first and only restaurant in St Helena Bay specializing in seafood and operated by the indigenous people of this town. The heritage of this town is rooted in its recipes which has been handed down from generation to generation. Oppikaai serves food with a story.

Day 4: Vredendal - Klawer

Wine pairing at Namaqua Wines

The wines are offered in combination with different foods. Come and taste Namaqua Wines with a choice of either biltong or chocolate! The wine is the star of the show, so you will always try the wine before the chocolate or biltong, and then again the wine. Take your time to enjoy the flavours of both.

Teubes Family Wines is a premium organic estate and organic grape supplier situated just outside the beautiful town of Vredendal. An exclusive wine tasting and pairing is on offer at Teubes Family Wines

Stellar Organic Winery

Stellar Winery boasts unique wines. Their cool-climate vineyards, located close to the Atlantic Ocean, adds to the unique characteristics of their wine. All of their wines are organic, vegan-friendly and fair trade.

Klawer Wine Cellar Pairings

Klawer Wine Cellar, winner of numerous Veritas and National wine awards, proudly offers an outstanding selection of quality wines. Different varietals of red and wine wines as well as rosè are paired with various chocolates, and the popular rooibos and wine pairing. The cellar also offers a kiddies pairing.

Day 5: Citrusdal - Clanwilliam

Rooibos tea pairing at Carmien Tea Shop

Carmién Tea is well-known for our innovative and extensive range of herbal blends and flavoured rooibos products. Visit the Carmién Tea Shop at De Tol Farm Deli for a cuppa or elevate your tea drinking experience with their unique tastings and pairings. Enjoy a cold brew pairing on a hot thirsty day or take it up a notch with their unique G & Tea tasting, or even better, their Gin & Nougat pairing.

Piekenierskloof Wines Tasting Room

The Piekenierskloof tasting room provides the perfect all-weather opportunity to try all that the tasting room have on offer, from the fan favourite Piekenierskloof Grenache Noir, to the Stonedance and Six Hats ranges. In summertime, take refuge from the heat and cool down with a bottle of white, or sit inside on chilly days and warm your hands next to the hearth.

Velskoendraai Farmstall

Velskoendraai is situated right at the entrance to Clanwilliam. The menu is affordable and innovative and the farmstall uses mainly fresh produce that is in season and what is available locally. They also offer a unique rooibos tea tasting experience.

Day 6: Velddrif - Piketberg

Bokkomlaan

No trip to Velddrif is complete without a trip to the famous Bokkomlaan. Fringed by the Great Berg River, this quaint dirt road is scattered with a cluster of historic buildings and jetties. This is also where you’ll find an array of restaurants offerings different tastes from local seafood at Ek en Djy Vissery, Velddrif’s finest coffee at Columbine Co. and healthy treats on the go at Avoo Health Café

Kokerboom Kaas Artisan Cheese

Kokerboom Kaas is a small boutique cheesery named after. This Velddrif based cheesery is a fantastic display of the cheesemaking potential of the region. The cheeses are all named after local creatures and flora, endemic to Velddrif. Cheese tastings are also available by appointment.

Charlie’s Brewhouse

What better way to soak up the magic of Port Owen in Velddrif on the West Coast than with some of the finest local chilled beers and brews? Whether it’s to complement a starter or snack, sumptuous pub grub or a hearty meal, Charlie’s Brewhouse has got something to quench any thirst. Adding to the mix, the brewery also has its own gin distillery next door, called Poetic Licence Distillery.
