Day 1: Stilbaai – Albertinia

Kasselshoop's traditional cheese is produced on the Kasselman family farm, Klein Soebattersvlakte. The farm is situated on route to Stilbaai, the well know holiday resort in the Southern Cape.

The Knysna Distillery and Gin Bar boasts with award winning craft gin, distilled the traditional way with an Alembic Copper Pot Still and a flame. Knysna Gin is made with nine natural botanicals, most notably Num Num berries: a favourite of the famous Knysna Loerie.

Eat at Barrington’s Brasserie

Barrington’s light filled Brasserie is as serene as its surroundings, perfectly complementing the panoramic views of the Piesang Valley in Plett. They serve breakfast, lunch or dinner either inside or on the wraparound deck overlooking the garden and riverbank. The interior is a tailored mix of natural finishes, muted greens, marble tops and handcrafted wooden furniture. Lit by fireplaces and clusters of over- sized rattan pendants, the Brasserie provides an elegant and tranquil space that works regardless of the time of day.

Bitou Kayaks

Bitou Kayaks offers a 2, 3 or 4 hour guided tour to experience the peace and tranquility and magnificent bird life of the Bitou River and the pristine indigenous forests surrounding the Keurbooms River. Alternatively, you can hire a kayak and wander along the rivers at your own pace. No previous kayaking experience is required. We will provide a mandatory pre-trip safety briefing as well as the necessary safety gear. All kayaks have been certified by SAMSA. You will be provided with a waterproof pouch for your mobile and car keys.

Day 6: Oudtshoorn – De Rust

During the bush safaris (game drives), you can expect to experience true Karoo vegetation from the Buffelsdrift’s open game viewing vehi- cles. Their wide range of animals include Hippo, Giraffe, Eland, Zebra, Buffalo, Springbok and much more.

Specializing in authentic Karoo cuisine, the Buffelsdrift Restaurant offers guests a delicious a la carte menu of homemade foods and lo- cal fresh produce. As accompaniment, the restaurant’s wine selection consists of some of the best award-winning wines on Route 62, South Africa’s longest wine route. The restaurant also expands to the wood- en deck, overlooking our 5ha waterhole filled with big fish, turtles and hippo. If you are lucky, you might even spot the elephants and other game on the opposite bank.

Doornkraal Full Moon Horse Riding
