The Women's Trail Run takes place in the famous Elgin Grabouw valley that boasts breathtaking and spectacular views of the surrounding Hottentots Holland, Nuweberg and Groenland mountains.

Our host is the amazing Elgin Grabouw Country Club. The drive from Cape Town or Worcester takes approximately 60 minutes whilst the trip from Somerset West, Gordon’s Bay and Hermanus will take approximately 35 minutes.

Routes:

Long Route: 21km Run – 520m elevation

A combination of the Elgin Valley and Grabouw Forest Trails with breathtaking views of the Eikenhof dam and surrounding apple farms. Why not end off with a refreshing dip in the Eikenhof dam.

Short Route: 11km Run – 250m elevation

What about the men?

This is a women’s trail run BUT... entries are open to men who are willing to run in support of women and dress the part! Wigs, tutus, dresses, pink socks… whatever makes you feel fabulous and festive.

Late Entries:

Late entries allowed on race day but we cannot promise that we will have enough goodie bags. So rather enter early and avoid disappointment!

Note: Unpaid entries will automatically be deleted after 7 days. So enter an pay as soon as possible to avoid losing your spot.

Age Discounts:

Kids under 12 years enter for free (any distance).

Teens from 13 to 18 years old gets 50% discount.

Pensioners from 65 years and older get 50% discount.

These discounts will be automatically applied to your basket at checkout.

Exclusive Accommodation Special:

Trail's End Bike Hotel is offering two discount packages if you can prove you have entered the race:

15% discount for a two night stay for Friday night before the race and Saturday night of the race.

10% discount for a one night stay either for Friday night before the race or Saturday night of the race.

Registration:

Saturday 22 August from 8:00 at the Dragonfly Tri gazebo at Elgin Grabouw Country Club

10:00 - 6km Run

Timing:

The event will be timed using disposable chips in your race number. Please check in at the finish should you pull out of the race for any reason so you could be accounted for.

Cancellations & Substitution - FlexiPass:

No Refunds or Substitutions without a FlexiPass Add-On.

FlexiPass Add-On:

• 1 Substitution up to 12 noon the day before the event.
• 100% refund of the entry fee until 12 noon 30 calendar days prior to the event.
• 50% refund of the entry fee until 12 noon 7 calendar days prior to the event.
• No refunds within 7 calendar days prior to the event date.

The FlexiPass Add-On must be selected on check-out and cannot be added later.

Prize Giving:

Podium presentations will take place once all categories have finished. The time of prize giving is at the discretion on the race director and will be communicated on race day.

In addition to podium prizes, we keep the best prizes for the lucky draw boasting a prize purse of R40 000!
