THE CAPE TOWN CARNIVAL 2026: Follow Your heART

Join us on Saturday, 21 March 2026, as the Cape Town Carnival returns to the Green Point Fan Walk for another unforgettable celebration of creativity, culture, and community.

This year’s Carnival invites you to Follow Your heART - a theme that places self-expression, passion, and creative courage at the centre of the parade. Expect the Fan Walk to come alive with bold moving artworks, striking costumes, live music, and powerful performances as more than 1200 performers from over 50 community groups transform the city streets into a living artwork.

From dancers and musicians to costume-makers and artists, the Cape Town Carnival is a celebration created by the city, for the city - and for everyone who believes in the power of creativity to bring people together.
