On 9 March 2025, Diners Club announced the winners of the 2025 South African Winelist Awards, celebrating restaurants that demonstrate excellence in wine selection, presentation, and service across South Africa.
The awards recognize outstanding restaurants through five tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and the prestigious Icon Award.
Icon Award: Western Cape Winner
The Icon Award, the highest recognition in the competition, is judged by a panel of respected wine, food, and hospitality experts.
In the Western Cape, the award was presented to Rooi at One&Only Cape Town. Located at the luxury One&Only Cape Town, Rooi was one of only four restaurants in the country to receive this prestigious honor. The restaurant is celebrated for its exceptional wine list and refined dining experience.
