Launched in late 2025, Klein Goederust in Franschhoek is South Africa’s first Black-owned wine cellar. Owner Paul Siguqa has transformed a neglected farm into a 10-hectare boutique winery and tourism destination. Situated on the R45, next to La Motte and Leopard’s Leap, the wine cellar offers wine tastings that celebrate both heritage and innovation.

Vergelegen Wine Estate – New Facility
In December 2025, Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West unveiled a new state-of-the-art wine warehouse. Spanning 4,226 m² and capable of storing over two million bottles, the facility centralizes production and logistics while enhancing vineyard efficiency. This investment strengthens Vergelegen’s reputation as a premium South African wine producer and highlights the region’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
