Outdoor Screening of ‘Sarafina!’, Khayelitsha

Classic film, Sarafina!, which tells the story of the Soweto Uprising in 1976, will be screened at the Ekasi Outdoor Cinema in Khayelitsha. This mobile cinema screens films in townships, showing inspiring African films for kids and youth. Free entry.

A wine ambassador will guide you through your chosen selection of three wines at the tasting counter or on the terrace overlooking the valley.

Youth Day Swim

Fancy a dip in the ocean this Youth Day? The Youth Day Swim is an open water swim with a 400m, 800m, and a one mile (just over 1km) option. The swim takes place at the Oceana Power Boat Club. Registration opens at 9am, with the swim at 10am.

Youth Day-HELMET RUN 2018

This family-themed event offers a huge amount of activities for everyone to enjoy. Apart from the scheduled run, you can expect music, jumping castles, face painting, and lots more fun on the day. All funds raised will be used for future youth camps.

Youth Day Screening of ‘Uprize’

Hout bay-based Sunbox Ambassador Naydia Nangamso will be hosting a special free screening of Sifiso Khanyile's brilliant documentary Uprize at the Hout Bay Library and Imizamo Yethu Library. The documentary focuses on the Soweto Uprising and the children that stood up against an oppressive regime.
