This report provides an overview of the tourism activity in the Garden Route and Klein Karoo based on airport passenger movement, visits to selected local attractions as well as mobile-location data insights from a sample size of 72 435 domestic and 3 245 international tourists who visited the Garden Route & Klein Karoo between January and December 2022. Within the domestic data set, over 21 490 tourists were from the City of Cape Town and from the sampled international tourists, 672 were from the United Kingdom, followed by the United States (648).
