After an easy one hour drive from Cape Town, visitors will discover tranquility, vast open landscapes, a fascinating array of fauna and flora, delicious seafood, breathtaking azure-blue waters bordered by white sandy beaches and a rich historical heritage. It’s the type of place that looks straight out of a movie and stops you in your tracks.

A visit to Langebaan will appeal to both adventure seekers and those needing respite from the fast pace of city living. With almost year-round sunny weather and safe water conditions, this is a world-renowned mecca for kite surfers, wind surfers, kayakers, fishermen and yachtsmen. With water this blue, you might get the feeling you’re in the Greek Islands.

The West Coast National Park is home to flamingoes and whales and is well-known as a paradise for bird-watchers. During the months of August and September, the magnificent spring flowers burst into an unforgettable display. It’s also the place where 'Eve's Footprint' was discovered; one of the earliest signs of human existence on the planet.
