Simola Golf & Country Estate - Knysna


What to expect:
Set below the high ridges, Simola escapes the wind that can sometimes cause issues on coastal course, and is arguably one most beautifully located courses in the province. Designed by golfing icon, Jack Nicklaus, the fairways have been created to follow the natural flow of the land, while there is an unusual configuration of Par 5’s and Par 3’s to offer a unique challenge.

Pinnacle Point – Mossel Bay


What to expect:
Named South Africa’s best golf course in 2016, this Darren Clarke-designed golf course is one of the most beautiful and unique in the world. Nestled along the coastline, just outside of Mossel Bay, and overlooking the Indian Ocean, the 72-par course is perhaps best characterised by the seven holes that line the rocky ocean cliffs. Dramatic views, along with world class facilities, make this course a must for those golfers visiting the Western Cape.

Pezula Golf Course – Knysna


What to expect:
Located on the Knysna clifftops, with views of both the Indian Ocean and the Knysna Lagoon, Pezula makes the most of its surroundings. A challenging, and ultimately rewarding course, this is a course that will provide golfers of all levels with the complete experience. The award-winning course boasts world-class facilities, including one of the best clubhouse set-ups in the province.

Steenberg Golf Estate - cape town


What to expect:
Found in the lush, Constantia Valley, winding its way through the vineyards and gentle waterways, providing players of all levels with a challenging day on the course. Designed by Peter Matkovich, the estate is home to world class facilities, including a practice green and chipping area.

Fancourt Golf Estate – George


What to expect:
Considered one of South Africa’s best golf courses, and designed by SA legend Gary Player, the Montagu course at Fancourt offers a typical parklands format. The Par 72 course is only available to members, their guests, and those staying at the resort, making it an exclusive experience for those playing. Facilities are world class and include a warm-up and practice area featuring a full-length range, as well as a chipping and bunker practice area.

Pearl Valley Golf Estate – Paarl


What to expect: This Jack Nicklaus-designed course is located between the majestic Simonsberg and Drakenstein Mountain ranges, making it yet another visually spectacular course in the Western Cape. With challenging water hazards, lush fairways and greens, as well as 81 white river sand bunkers, Pearl Valley is regarded by many as one of the most rewarding courses in the country. World class facilities and visual splendour combine to make this one of the province’s top golf courses.

Arabella Golf Estate – Kleinmond


What to expect:
Designed by acclaimed South African golf course designer, Peter Matkovich, Arabella is home to what is considered one of the most beautiful Par 5s in the country. A favourite of such local golfing legends as Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Tim Clark and Gary Player, the course has tricky bunkers to navigate, immaculate fairways and inventive water hazards, making it consistently ranked amongst the country’s top 10 courses.

De Zalze Golf Estate – Stellenbosch


What to expect:
This winelands course makes the most of its location - both visually and in terms of course layout - with the Blaauwklippen River coming into play more than once on the course. A fine mix of parklands holes, the course at De Zalze places a premium on accuracy.

Erinvale Golf Club – Somerset West


What to expect:
With breathtaking views of the Cape Winelands, ocean and mountains, Erinvale is superbly located. Designed by Gary Player, The flat outward nine is defined by challenging approach shots to long narrow putting surfaces, with the inward nine offering beautiful vistas from its undulating fairways and a finish that rates among the best in the world.

Clovelly Golf Course – Cape Town


What to expect:
One of the most picturesque courses in the Mother City, Clovelly Golf Course is based in the majestic Silvermine Valley, and is something of a hidden treasure. It’s a relatively flat course, and is moderate in length, backtracking on itself. In amongst the fairways, greens and bunkers, there is a diversity of life, particularly of the feathered variety. The course is neither a links nor traditional American style one, but it offers a unique set of challenges, and will be sure to test your full range of shots.
