This multiple award-winning market is located on the outskirts of the beautiful coastal town of Sedgefield, adjacent to the Swartvlei lake-lagoon, and takes place every Saturday morning from 7:30am-11:30am in summer. Now in its 13th year, this rustic spot brims over with 60 stalls offering the finest local farm produce, home bakes, plants and flowers of the unique Southern Cape Floral Kingdom, outdoor breakfasts and live music. 6. Saturday Morning Market | Prince Albert
In the Government Gazette of 30 October 1855, the Governor, Sir George Grey, gave permission for Prince Albert to hold a weekly market. The market flourished for years but eventually disappeared. In December 1997 the Prince Albert Tourism Association resurrected the weekly market, which is held every Saturday morning on the square next to the Fransie Pienaar Museum. Discover everything from dried fruit, home-made jams, pickles, cakes and bread, fresh fruit and organic vegetables. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a pancake or an early lunch at this historical spot.
