Cape Town Festival of Beer

With more than 60 breweries offering over 200 types of beers and ciders, the Cape Town Festival of Beer is the perfect way to kick off the summer season! There will be a greater focus on ciders and the offering will be extensive, as the local cider industry has taken off over the past few years. A corporate hospitality offering will be available for the Friday night, including a dedicated seating area, food and beer vouchers, dedicated host, as well as branding opportunity. Cape Town’s business set is invited to take advantage of the unique opportunity to host their year-end parties at CTFOB 2017. Corporate hospitality packages can be booked via Webtickets.co.za. Special discount is available for groups of more than 20 people.

Ultra Trail Cape Town

UTCT runs three races over the iconic Table Mountain Nature Reserve in the first weekend of December – a true test of any trail runner’s mettle. With distances of 21km, 35km, 65km and 100km, this event is not for the novice runner! Support is most definitely welcome with a number of spectator points set up on the day. This is an event not to be missed, by runners or supporters alike. Aspirant athletes might want to take a look first-hand before taking the plunge in 2019.

Community Chest Twilight Run

Every December the Cape Town city centre comes to a standstill as thousands of runners come together for the annual Community Chest Twilight Run! No winner is declared, no medals are awarded, the reasons for running have more to do with the charity aspect and dressing up than any form of competition. Prizes are awarded for best dressed as opposed to best runner, so think more about luminous headgear and funky outfits, less about tapering and your splits per kilometre.
