The information provides insight into the origin of tourists in the towns of George and Wilderness as well as their preferred activities, ages, group sizes and spending patterns. The research is not intended to represent tourism for the region, as the sample of visitors represents only the footfall received from the George tourism office.

Between January and December 2024, the towns received 322 responses to the regional visitor tracking surveys. The domestic market accounted for 46.89% of visitors, while overseas visitors represented 53.11% of the total sample.
