The information provides insights into the origin of tourists in the Garden Route & Klein Karoo region as well as their preferred activities, ages, group sizes and spending patterns. The research is not intended to reflect details about tourism for the region as a whole, as the sample of visitors represents the footfall at only those tourism offices that participate in the surveys.

Between January and December 2025, the Garden Route & Klein Karoo received 2,582 responses to the regional visitor tracking surveys. The domestic market accounted for 54.76% of visitors, while overseas visitors represented 44.69% of the total sample.
