Cape Winelands Visitor Trends: January to December 2024

The information provides insight into the origin of tourists in the region as well as their preferred activities, ages, group sizes and spending patterns. The research is not intended to represent tourism for the region, as the sample of visitors represents only the footfall at the participating Cape Winelands local tourism offices.

Between January and December 2024, the Cape Winelands region received 2,123 responses to the regional visitor tracking surveys. The domestic market accounted for 84.83% of visitors, while overseas visitors represented 15.17% of the total sample.
