It’s the quiet that you notice first. The tranquillity and peaceful solitude you experience when surrounded by nothing but mountains, lush green plants and clear, blue skies.
Located in the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, which is well-known for its incredible diversity and quality of fynbos, the surrounds here are pristine. If location is everything, then consider the Oudebosch Eco-Cabins to have everything… and more.
Location aside, at their core, the eco-cabins are all about sustainability, with little-to-no impact on the area around them. A huge amount of thought has been put into integrating the cabins into the natural surroundings, while all revenue generated through tourism facilities and activities flowing back into conserving the Cape Nature Reserves across the Western Cape.
The glass fronted eco-cabins afford occupants breath-taking views of the reserve, which is a World Heritage Site. Each of the five Oudebosch eco-cabins at Kogelberg Nature Reserve sleeps four people and consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, one en-suite, and a spacious kitchen, lounge and dining area.
No television, (very) limited wifi access and not a satellite dish in sight, the Oudebosch Eco Cabins at Kogelberg are ideal for those looking to get off the grid. With sweeping views of the valley, a variety of hiking trails to explore and a natural swimming pool a few metres from the accommodation, the cabins cater for up to four people, making them ideal for groups of friends and small families.
But be warned: the cabins are incredibly popular and booking is absolutely essential. If you’re planning a trip here, be sure to book months in advance to avoid being disappointed.
