Western Cape Minister of Economic Opportunities, Alan Winde said: “The Western Cape's competitive offering is showcased to key markets at the Tourism Indaba. Our province offers a diverse range of experiences for tourists and the exhibitors at this year’s stand demonstrate this. Tourism, which is one of our focus areas through Project Khulisa, is a driver of jobs and growth. Early indications show we have already added 50 000 jobs to the sector since the launch of Project Khulisa. Embracing innovation, as many of this year's exhibitors have done, will be key to ensuring continued growth.”

Wesgro CEO, Tim Harris said: "We are proud to represent the amazing opportunities for tourism in Cape Town and the Western Cape at this year’s Indaba. The Cape’s unrivalled natural beauty, friendly and innovative people, and world-class infrastructure provide the perfect recipe for a growing tourism sector that will create even more jobs. The strong, united presence at this year’s event will help to accelerate this growth."
