Disclaimer

Wesgro will only consider partnering with events that fall out of peak season for the region wherein the event falls (this excludes jewel events).

Events therefore have to take place within the below months:

Cape Winelands - April to October
Cape Westcoast / Weskus – February to July /October to November
Cape Overberg - May to September
Cape Karoo – All year round
Garden Route & Klein Karoo – April to October

Special consideration for events taking place outside of the above dates, will only be considered through specific requests / endorsements by the RTO.

Wesgro will only consider events that fulfil the following requirements:

Economic impact into the regions
Job creation (temporary or permanent)
Skill transfer / Skill development
Improve social cohesion in the region
Act as a catalyst for change
Promote weekend stays into the regions

Applications open on 1 February 2023 and the deadline to submit applications is 28 February 2023. No applications will be accepted after the closing date.

The onus is on the event organisers to submit all the required documentations. Incomplete event applications will not be accepted.

Wesgro will work with event organisers, regional and local tourism offices, government and industry and media partners to maximise the marketing of the event where possible and within our available resources.
