Wesgro Investment & Trade Mission to Ethiopia
Join Wesgro’s Investment & Trade mission to Ethiopia from 22 to 26 April 2019. The mission forms part of our outward investment & Trade strategy into Africa for 2019-2020, and will focus on exploring Investment and trade as well as strengthen business and tourism links between Cape Town and Ethiopia. Wesgro will facilitate business meetings for all delegates taking part in the mission.
Ethiopia is the most populous landlocked country in the world, as well as the second- most populous nation on the African continent after Nigeria. The country’s economy continues on its state-led Growth and Transformation Plan. With an estimated GDP per capita of USD1,500. Ethiopia's economy is based on agriculture, but the government is pushing to diversify into manufacturing, textiles, and energy generation. In the next 3 years Ethiopia’s economy is expected to grow by an annual average rate of 8%, hence their ranking by the World Bank as one of the 5 fastest growing economies of the world. These could provide an ideal opportunity for companies wanting to expand their foothold into the African market
